Sourdough is an public domain vector tile schema that aims to encode a substantial range of OpenStreetMap feature types. Features are organized according to OSM top-level tags with attributes that resemble raw tags and relation types. A Planetiler-generated reference implementation of Sourdough serves as a starting point for further customization. Sourdough debuted at Mapping USA 2026.[1]
