SotM Africa 2023 - Tripoli vision

We aim through State of the Map Africa 2023 to explore the value creation for location Intelligence through synergy and collective intelligence to support Spatial Data Infrastructure. Users participation, online communities, social networking, mass collaboration, and open innovation have become new tools to shape collective intelligence and social capital at the service of the society to increase its performance and develop its creative abilities. Collective intelligence is a factor of success for modern organizations based on creating and sharing information and knowledge. In return, society becomes more and more knowledge-dependent; the collective social ability could be a driving force for innovation. From an empirical point of view, understanding the value creation mechanism needs the following question: How could collective intelligence contribute to the location intelligence and improve the Spatial Data Infrastructure through the PGIS & VGI? And how they could add value to the digital transformation process, for instance? To answer this question, more clarification of the collective intelligence concept in the field of geospatial has to be presented and discussed at SotM Africa 2023.
