How to get there

Tips from locals
  • Trains
    • There are good connections between state cities (Łodź, Warsaw, Poznań...) You can check timetables here: [1]
    • Most people will probably want to get off at Łódź Kaliska or Łódź Fabryczna (loop) station. It is pretty hard to say which tram or bus line you should choose as the city is in constant rebuild and the timetables and routes are in a constant unpredictable change. You can try free "Jak dojadę" app and website: https://jakdojade.pl/lodz. Bear in mind that you should buy the ticket before entering tram or bus from vending machines or kiosk and then validate the ticket using the machine in the bus or tram just after entering it... or – just try to use ubber/taxi – the price from stations to your hotel should be around 10-25 EUR.
  • Air travel
    • There is an airport in Łódź (Lublinek Airport, ICAO:EPLL. IATA:LCJ), but it can be cheaper to fly to Warsaw and take the train to Łódź (1,5 to 2 hours).
From the UK
  • Ryanair Stanstead→Łódź. < £90 return. No flight Thurs 18th July, 06:25 Weds, 10:20 Tues. Return Sunday 22:40→23:55
  • British Airways fly Heathrow→Warsaw £220 return
  • Lot fly Heathrow→Warsaw £300 return. Sun 21 Jul 18:10 WAW→19:50 LHR
  • Eurostar to Arnhem then Flixbus (sounds hellish)
