Wallow is a place where animals (like wild boar, warthog, bison, rhinoceros) roll their body in mud, water or snow. These areas often muddy, hard to walk through, and at sunset or dawn there may be wild animals around.

Tagging wallows have various purpose; they may be of interest for watching animal behaviour, avoiding animal danger, being aware that parts of the are may be muddy even in dry weather or simply to inform people what they see.
