Talk:Automated edits/adding school levels

If I'm not misunderstanding your plans, you intend to guess the school level based on pattern matching in the name key and add the value you guessed into the isced:level key. This doesn't make sense: On the one hand anyone who can live with data based on guesses could perform this pattern matching theirself, on the other hand the entries changed by you appear as if they were based on a survey, so users would give this data a higher credibility than it actually has. I suggest that you instead create small work packages like e.g. all schools in a city or maybe a rural county and look for volunteers to add the isced:level to those school entries. They could at the same time check for other missing information on these schools like e.g. a website, which they might need to check out anyway to find out what the school really is. --Lyx (talk) 19:03, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
