When The Course Has Gender-Specific Pars
I play a course that is Par 72 for men but Par 73 for ladies with significantly different total yardages for each. I've tagged it golf:par:men=72 and golf:par:women=73 rather than the current Wiki standard golf:par= as I can't find any other pages that cover it for an active solution. Would like some feedback before I delve into the murky world of edits to actual Wiki pages, though.--John Grubb (talk) 19:20, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
- But the par shouldn´t that be what the par is of a hole? changing by Handicap/tee doesn´t change what kind of par of a hole it is and handicap information isn´t suitable to represent in OSM. HuggeK (talk) 15:23, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
I'm seeing some people enter this on a fairway as a per-hole thing. It doesn't belong on fairway and some wording should be added to the wiki to make that clear. You should probably add some validation rules to JOSM, FWM, and other tools to make sure people aren't using it on the wrong elements as well. B-jazz (talk) 19:52, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
