Different concepts for buildings and addresses

This key should ideally be split into two different keys:

  • One for the ID of a building
  • One for the ID of an address

Whereas we strive to make a clean import of the BeSt address register, the map is not immune against changesets like 177761894, where a user will change address on nodes into address on buildings (based on the assumption that if there is one single address it makes no harm). The risk is that a reference applying for a node will be incorrectly copied to a building outline and will corrupt the database.

Also, since both keys are labelled as "INSPIRE_ID" in the source data, more confusion may arise for non-specialists. We should better have a key that says "building ID" and the other one that says "address ID" (something like ref:BE-BRU:building and ref:BE-BRU:address).

Other suggestions to find a name: the source data is offered by databrussels hosted on datastore.brussels, addresses are matched against the BeSt address register, buildings are part of the "UrbIS - Parcels and buildings" category.

  • In Denmark, all the addresses have osak:identifier=* with an UUID (8-4-4-4-12 hex characters) + source=Danmarks Adresseregister.
  • In Norway, all the addresses are reimported every day (only for nodes that have changed), with no extra tags.
