Talk:Michigan/Highways

I couldn't find an existing tagging scheme for state highway relations in Michigan, so I made up the one described on this page. I know Michigan highways are labeled "M 43" and not "MI 43" but I thought that for the network tag it would be better to use US:MI instead of US:M to avoid confusion with other states. Any opinions on this? --Abgandar 04:14, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

I suggest that the US Highway section and the US Interstate section be deleted from the Michigan page since they are now linked at the bottom of the Michigan page and since each of those roadway classifications has their own existing page. --Dygituljunky 20:41, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

I would not do that as it allows to keep track of what route actually is in Michigan. Nakor 02:46, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

M-185

I have changed M-185 to highway = cycleway, motorcar = no, mototrcycle = no; and in the relation route = bicycle, as there are no motorized vehicles allowed on the island. Right, wrong? --Elliskev 14:00, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Hello, I do not really know if this is right or wrong. I just have two comments: first the map right now looks weird because the other roads were left as residential; secondly the road can be used by horse carriages so maybe we have to find something more appropriate to capture that. My 2c. Nakor 16:55, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
You're right about the other roads. Maybe just leave it as highway = secondary with motorcar = no and mototrcycle = no? Maybe I should have just left it alone... --Elliskev 22:41, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
Secondary looks fine to me. Primary was for sure too high. Nakor 01:08, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

Bus. US 223

Can someone in the know set this one up, if necessary, and add it? Thanks, Imzadi 1979  16:08, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
