Announcement boards

Main / distant signals are announced by "Tavole di orientamento". Long vertical black signs, with four, three, two or one horizontal (distant signal) or diagonal (main signal) white stripes. Additionally they can have a yellow vertical bar. How can we tag these? Hiddewie (talk) 20:01, 1 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

I don't think we have the tagging scheme for these, I'll check with the others and come back Giopera (talk) 07:56, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I've confronted myself with AwFi and we decided to follow a similar approach as the Ne tables in Germany, I'll update the pages when possible. Giopera (talk) 06:41, 3 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I've added the new tagging, thank you for the report.

Shunting limits

Shunting limits are shown by a long white signal with a pointed top, and striped black. "Picchetto limite delle manovre". How can these be tagged? Hiddewie (talk) 20:03, 1 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi! You can find an example here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/13261383329 Giopera (talk) 07:55, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, I added the tagging to the wiki page. Hiddewie (talk) 11:57, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I've just now seen it was kept in the Shunting section of the Signals, I'll later delete that and integrate this if it's needed. Giopera (talk) 06:39, 3 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Verified it's all OK, thank you for the report.
