Nominatim's place_id

"... But there are no plan to transform place_id in to a stable ID."

Again, please don't suggest that Nominatim's place_id can be used for anything outside of a specific Nominatim instance. Like I already mentioned, it is a purely internal identifier and must not be used to refer to an object from the outside! Mmd (talk)
Thanks @Mmd, perhaps the best correction is to delete the phrase. --Krauss (talk) 18:34, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
No, I would strongly recommend to delete the whole paragraph about place_id. Seriously, you cannot use place_id for anything, it is a technical database key and depends on a single Nominatim instance. Mmd (talk) 18:38, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
Hum... Check now, I added a "notice" with your phrase... You can also put in bold as an alert. --Krauss (talk) 18:50, 21 July 2018 (UTC)

OSM non-official persistence implementations

"Implementations that use OSM infrastructure but is not at openstreetmap.org domain, so is considered "not official".

What does this sentence mean? Using OSM infrastructure but not the domain?! Please clarify Mmd (talk) 17:46, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
Makes sense, I am correcting... Well, I can try other definition, but perhaps the best is to say nothing. I not see how to classify what is "part of the OSM system" and what is an "external module". --Krauss (talk) 18:34, 21 July 2018 (UTC)

Overpass API/Permanent ID

Overpass Permanent Ids don't have anything to do with the Wiki, you can define certain tags for an object, which will be translated by Overpass API to a concrete object at runtime. Mmd (talk) 17:37, 21 July 2018 (UTC)

Hum... Please, can you help to enhance the explanation about it? Them I will change the text to fit to the technical explanation. --Krauss (talk) 18:34, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
Overpass API Permanent Ids are about defining some keys you believe are unique, you put them into a query, and the query result will automatically return the object in question. No Wiki involved whatsoever. Mmd (talk) 18:40, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
