Many car washes belong to a fuel station. Those are taged with amenity already. Wouldn´t it be better to use the tag car_wahs=yes instead? plexi32

So how would you tag a car wash that doesn't belong to anything else, like almost all car washes over here? --Eimai 17:07, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

I also think car_wash=yes is a good idea. If you have necessary two nodes you get redundancy (Operator, Name, Adress etc.), which shuold be avoid of course. --westfa 18:14, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

I would prefer to have a separate tag or the car wash, although many of them are close to fuel station. The other qualifying tags are quite important (I don't want to bring my car in an automated car wash point, for example)

Don't forget about maxheight and maxwidth. If you have a bigger car or a truck, you will need this information. --TEL0000 23:12, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
