Talk:Proposed features/Community Centre
This looks basically a good idea but are words with variant spellings best avoided?
- I agree. I think its better to use amenity=community_hall, which has only one possible spelling. And I think its a better description of what it is, eg around here, most places have a "village hall". Though note its not the same as Tag:amenity=townhall which is usually a building used by the local council for administrative purposes. --Vclaw 12:21, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
The same holds for parochial or town owned buildings where youth gather and where related activities like fairs are organized. In French : local paroissial, local des scouts, local du patro[nnage], local des mouvements de jeunesse etc. --A Pirard 12:43, 20 May 2012 (BST)
