"Scooter" is an ambiguous term

The term 'scooter' is not well defined. For some people it's a moped, for others the scooter toy used by kids. See https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/ElectricScooters#Ambiguous_current_situation_with_.27Scooters.27 and a discussion on the tagging mailing list. --Mueschel (talk) 10:58, 27 December 2021 (UTC)

Different types of parking spaces

Thanks for the draft. I would like to extend scope of the proposal and ask to consider tagging cases for rental scooter parking. For example local municipality received lots of complaints about e-scooters being left in random places (from middle of road to top of bus stop shelter) and introduced scooter parking areas, which are simply rectangles painted in sidewalks at various places across city (note on OSM, image attached to it). Clearly those areas can't have capacity=* attached to them, but I'd still map them as parking area. Another example for scooters is proprietary docking stations made for rental companies (image1, image2). There are also few similar public parking-docks at shopping centres, but i don't have picture of them.

PS. Sorry, it's rather late here, feel free to adjust this section name or fix unclear sentences to something more usable. --Fghj753 (talk) 00:45, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
