Where was the deprecation discussed?

The current page, says "This feature has been labeled as deprecated. ... The reason is documented in Deprecated features" This appears to be a complete lie as the word "customs" does not appear on that page. The page for the inadequate replacement tag also makes no mention of it being implemented via a proposal or other means involving a discussion. Is this just a unilateral "deprecation" pretending to be consensus? Where is the discussion? -- InsertUser (talk) 20:35, 5 September 2026 (UTC)
