Relationship with building=guardhouse

Hi, Something B. I noticed that you added documentation to this tag (which had been proposed and under sparse discussion at Talk:Proposed features/Tag:amenity=security_booth), but you also linked to Tag:building=guardhouse, which had also been created just a few days earlier, and seems to have quite a bit of overlap in how it's defined. Could you explain how you interpret the difference between the two? Thanks, Waldyrious (talk) 16:49, 16 November 2022 (UTC)

Hi, Waldyrious! building=* is generally about building itself, but amenity=* is about actual use. Building that is structurally "guardhouse" still building=guardhouse regardless from current usage, for example, if this building is abandoned, or used as kiosk. This tags may be used together. amenity=security_booth is place where security personnel actually seat. Something B (talk) 20:38, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
I see, thanks for the information! :) Would you mind making the same clarification in the page itself? Waldyrious (talk) 21:05, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
