On Areas?

On which kind of case would this tag be applied to areas? If it's to micro-map the highway, perhaps it would be better to use area:highway=* instead. --Jgpacker (talk) 15:38, 5 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

You're right. I set it to 'no'. (Btw. there is not a single closed way in the data until now.) --Klumbumbus (talk) 00:54, 22 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

runaway truck ramp elements

wondering how one might be able to assemble a package/container of runaway ramp elements, which could include:

  • first ramp notice, e.g. 1 mile
  • last notice, e.g. 2000'
  • ramp proper exit sign
  • surveillance camera (w/DOT live feed URL)
  • hard surface exit ramp
  • soft surface exit ramp
  • on downhill ramp, additional arresting method, e.g. barrels

(Even finer granularity could include reflector signs, but that's crazy detail for the transportation department (;-))

brake check area?

not finding obvious tags for brake-check areas built uphill from steep downhill runs, runaway trucks ramps DougGrinbergs (talk) 06:07, 22 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
