Contradiction with the meaning of the "place=locality" tag

Places tagged as "place=locality" are supposed to be unpopulated areas. Townlands are geographical/historic divisions that are often populated, if I understand correctly. The same goes for "locality=subtownland". Rsydes (talk) 03:33, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
