In response to your open question, for very tall bridges maxheight=default appears to be the preferred option. See this: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:maxheight#Non-numerical_values for other options where there might not be a sign. --Confusedbuffalo (talk) 13:18, 7 August 2017 (UTC)

Suggest documenting lines with many low bridges

Recent re-awakening of interest on talk-gb prompts me to add that in my experience if one bridge is low on a line then it is likely that many are, some specific examples:

  • Main line in Northern Ireland (I've done quite a few from Geograph)
  • Line from Lincoln to Spalding
  • Portsmouth main line S of Basingstoke.

There are no doubt others, but highlighting bridges on particular lines known to be problematic may get more of the offending bridges done. SK53 (talk) 20:00, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
