This is a documentation subpage for Template:W.

This template creates an interwiki link to a Wikipedia article in the (main) namespace.

Usage

{{W|<Wikipedia article title>|<display text>}}

• <Wikipedia article title> - required. The title of the article, not the URL.
• <display text> - optional. text to display instead of the article title. Especially useful when the article is not in the main namespace

Examples

Main namespace

• {{w|OpenStreetMap Foundation}} → OpenStreetMap Foundation
• {{w|OpenStreetMap Foundation|OSMF}} → OSMF

Other namespaces

• {{w|Talk:OpenStreetMap Foundation}} → :Talk:OpenStreetMap Foundation
