As part of the 2020 GIS Day hosted by the Department of Geography at the University of Georgia, the Undergraduate Student Organization for Geography is hosting two ansychronous mapathon events. One will be completely remote and coordinated through the US Tasking Manager software. The other will be a walking mapathon event, in which students will go on a guided tour around the university while also adding features and POI's to the map. Both mapathons will include demos and documentation on how to get started with OSM and the some editing applications. The iD editor will be recommended for new users for the armchair mapping event and for the walking mapathon, Go Map!! will be recommended for iOS users and Vespucci for participants with androids.
