ArxSilex is the developer and maintainer of two map and geodata tools:

	ArxSilex MapTools A local-first Android application for online and offline maps, geodata, measurements, GPS tracking, routing and field work.
	ArxSilex MapTools Converter A GPL-3.0-only desktop application for preparing local OpenStreetMap PBF and Mapsforge map/POI data.

Relationship to OpenStreetMap

Both projects can work with OpenStreetMap-derived data. They are not OpenStreetMap editors and do not upload map edits or GPS traces directly to the OpenStreetMap database.

MapTools can display OSM-based maps and user-provided local data. The Converter processes files supplied by the user locally and does not download data from or upload data to OpenStreetMap.

Users remain responsible for the licences, attribution and usage conditions of their map and geodata sources.

I am affiliated with and maintain the projects listed above. I also maintain their OpenStreetMap Wiki descriptions and try to keep them factual. Corrections, technical feedback and independent review are welcome.
