$5 chance purchase of an eTrex Vista got me interested in the standalone GPS units - which led me to OSM.

Never have I imagined that an almost 20-year-old tech device could be so useful - most everything else of comparable vintage only has curio value. This, though, I'm using daily - after updating the fw and putting openstreet maps of my area on it.

Currently researching both old and new Garmin devices, and decided to give back to the project by compiling the info I've gathered so far.
