A member of the Gaelic Community in Edinburgh, also one of many in Edinburgh involved in "Gaelic development", that is working to secure the future of the Gaelic language and culture for all of Scotland's people.

Personal view: that it is vital to bring the Gaelic language increasingly (and appropriately) into visibility throughout Scotland, if this priceless national asset is not to slip into the past.

Much increased street signage and readily available maps such as OpenStreetMap (and particularly the OSM Alba map) are a key part of this.

Other interests include cycling (often long-distance), travel, and maps, so future contributions could include non-linguistic ones!
