I'm new to GPS. I'm interested in helping this project. I'm planning on purchasing a Garmin eTrex of some type[1], but am unsure of which features are important.[2] I have experience with vector graphics, but do not know how to make OpenStreetMap-compatible maps.(update: I just found the map-making guide.) I would appreciate any tips you have.
