This user submits data to OpenStreetMap under the name kempelen. Kempelen has mapped in Hungary. Kempelen submits data to OpenStreetMap using JOSM. [[Image:|43px]] Kempelen uses a Holux M-1000C and is willing to answer questions on it from OSM users. Kempelen uses an Android phone or tablet.

About me

I love maps! I still have my elementary school atlas, believe it or not. ;-)

I'm Ferenc Veres. I worked at Technical University of Budapest participating in land surveying, processing survey data, drawing maps (mainly 1:500 or 1:100, not large scale like OSM). I've initiated the list of Free Software GIS software projects, that is still maintained by the department and growing very nice.

In OSM Hungary my main aims are:

• mapping (mainly urban areas)
• quality assurance (KeepRight, OSMI, self-developed tools)
• propagation of OSM (running the websites above, writing this Wiki)
• translations (wiki, articles)
