I found Open Street Map a couple of years ago, but didn't join then. A year or so ago, (to prevent in car arguments!) I acquired the cheapest satnav that Tesco would sell -- A Magellan 1200 Roadmate. That works well enough for basic navigation and nothing else. Imagine my delight a couple of weeks ago when I discovered the free miopocket package, that unlocks and adds extra function and software to WinCE devices. Since then, I've been experimenting with NoniGPSPlot, which (unlike the Roadmate's supplied software) will save GPS traces.
My home town, Pershore, has very little mapping at present, so I'll be filling in local detail for some time. June 2010
