About Us

OneMap is a geospatial company specializing in GIS data production, map editing and data quality improvement. We enhance both the OpenStreetMap database and private geospatial databases, with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness and routing quality.

Our mission: make OpenStreetMap in the Gulf and the wider region one of the most accurate and up-to-date maps in the world.

What We Do

🛣️ Road Alignment Improve road geometry to match the ground truth.	🧭 Local Knowledge Correct the road network using on-the-ground local knowledge.	🏷️ Road Names Add missing road names in Arabic and English.
🏗️ New Developments Expand the network to cover newly constructed areas.	📍 Geocodes Add missing addresses and house numbers.	🚶 Pedestrian Network Add and update sidewalks, crossings and footways.
↪️ Turn-by-Turn Navigation Add and update turn restrictions, lanes, oneway and other routing tags.

Our Commitment to the Community

• ✅ We look forward to working closely with local mappers in every country and welcome all suggestions.
• ✅ We follow each country's local WikiProject guidelines.
• ✅ We follow the Organised Editing Guidelines and the Automated Edits code of conduct. No automated or bulk edits without prior community discussion.
• ✅ We never copy data from Google Maps or any source incompatible with the ODbL.

Imagery & Sources

• We always prioritize publicly available imagery in OSM editors.
• Where recent changes are not yet visible in public imagery, we may use Vantor's most recent non-public imagery to keep the map up to date.
• All sources are declared in the source / imagery_used tags of each changeset.

Every OneMap edit carries ##OneMap in the changeset comment.
