Data Update
- We use satellite imagery, Kuwait Finder maps, and municipal maps to update OpenStreetMap.
Previous Projects:
- Kuwait Mosques Project This is a voluntary technical project aimed at mapping and correcting mosque data in Kuwait, under the supervision of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. The project utilizes the OpenStreetMap database infrastructure and is executed in collaboration with the Kuwait Maps platform ([www.q8maps.com] leveraging its expertise in geospatial information technology and remote sensing. The project commenced in January 2023, with Phase 1 completed on March 16, 2023. During this phase, 1,773 mosques were recorded under the supervision of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
