Rob Baker is a career technologist for international development and humanitarian response, focusing primarily on innovation strategies for the effective and ethical use of emerging technologies. He is currently the Director of Human Security and Technology for the Harvard Humanitarian Institute, leading a portfolio largely focused on remote sensing methodologies for predictive modeling and forensic applications post-conflict. Prior this role, Rob was Lead Technologist for USAID's Global Development Lab, a program manager for the World Bank Innovation Lab, White House Presidential Innovation Fellow, and COO of Ushahidi. He was involved in some of HOT's earliest projects and continues to champion OSM as the default baselayer for all mapping initiatives. He is currently based in Cambridge, MA, USA.
