An idea I had: OSM "check in" app for mobile. Gets current location via GPS, shows associated node, if any, on screen. Quickly lets you add tags to that node. Will require decent templates. For example: walk to a fuel station, pull out phone and use OSMCheckIn, it downloads the nodes associated with the current location, prompts users for information on fuel station (diesel? LPG? carwash? etc etc). Lots more tags will be entered because people are on the ground at the location.
