I used to log with a small 12" Dell x1 with USB GPS Navibe GM720. Now I own a GPS Logger (BT335 from GlobalSAT). If like me you run GNU, don't buy it... it works with GPSBabel, but the spec are not published and it's a pain to use it with gpsbabel when it's full.
