Welcome to OpenStreetMap

Hello CaptainCrunch, and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Here are some tips to help you make the most from OSM:

  • Please don't use copyrighted maps as a data source for OpenStreetMap edits
  • To meet other mappers from your country, add these lines to your wiki userpage:
    [[Category:Users in your country|CaptainCrunch]]
    [[Category:Users in your city|CaptainCrunch]]
  • Join your regional mailing list
  • Take a look at the Beginners' guide
  • And if you have any questions, look at the FAQ page, or just ask!

Have fun mapping!

power_rating

Hi CaptainCrunch, you opted for power_output in the proposal - but "power output" is not really accurate for what is wanted here, because the power output is, especially for regenerative sources (biogas generators, wind turbines, photovoltaic plants but also for gas and coal power plants), most often not the nominal power. And it is ever-changing. A better alternative as tag name is "power_rating" which I use for wind turbines. Sorry for beeing late, I didn't see the proposal - what about a try to change the proposal to power_rating? I will write to all the voters for power_output, perhaps they all agree to the change ... -- Schusch 20:06, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
