Bicycle roads in Germany

Also, do not forget that there are special cyclist-roads where different laws apply at such a street. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicycle_boulevard for example. the law for such a street where i'm from can be found there https://www.ris.bka.gv.at/eli/bgbl/1960/159/P67/NOR40147694 and there are some roads where this applies, on would be https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/126103076#map=16/47.7949/13.0617 this and you can see how such an road is tagged right now. --Negreheb (talk) 16:07, 17 January 2024 (UTC)

@Negreheb: Thank you for taking the time to read my proposal. I do not intend this to replace cycle streets and bicycle roads. This is meant for streets that do not have any vehicular traffic. I see the world as having three types of highway traffic: pedestrian, cyclist, and vehicular traffic. For streets that have pedestrian traffic we have highway=pedestrian for vehicular we have many options, however for cycle traffic we do not have any street option. We only have highway=cycleway. That gap is what I would like to fix with this proposal. --Tjuro (talk) 09:01, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
So, to be clear the street i linked up there and the law i linked is saying: This street is only allowed for bicycles, no cars. With an additional sign cars might be allowed - that is also what happened on the street i linked. So, i think it is still relevant and fitting what i linked :) In my opinion this is exactly this usecase as well, the law and sign i linked. Because cars are only tolerated there and have to hold back plus bicycles have more rights they do not have on other streets. --Negreheb (talk) 16:07, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
@Negreheb: Ok, that makes it clearer. I would really like to include examples from different countries. Do you know any bicycle roads in Germany where cars are not allowed at all? Preferably one that has addresses of the same name along it. --Tjuro (talk) 08:43, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
Tough one. It seems like it is mainly used to give bicycles advantages over cars on existing roads, not to create a 'bicycle only road'. The best thing i was able to find is https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1119255922 - this short path should definitely be just bicycles, but the whole "Marburger Weg" to the north of the section has the "Fahrradstraße"-Sign without an exception. Even if its obvious that people drive there when look at street level images. (haven't checked in germany, just austria) --Negreheb (talk) 10:45, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
