Yahoo Japan Alps Data

On March 6th, 2011, Yahoo Japan released map data to OSMFJ. The data they released was originally held by the ALPS corporation which merged with Yahoo Japan.

The data we can use for OSM is only the ALPS data, and not any other data. OSM cannot use or import the map information at yahoo.com or yahoo.co.jp.

It has water system information such as coastlines, rivers, lakes and waterways rendered as ways. It has polygon data on the inland water surface of rivers and lakes. Railway line data	Railroad lines Railway station buildings	Railway line data added and edited based on "Numerical Map 25000 (Spatial Data Infrastructure)" published by the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan. We have line data for railway lines (including monorails, ropeways, etc.) such as Shinkansen, JR lines, and lines of other companies.

Park and building data	Parks/green space Large buildings	It has shapes of large-scale buildings as polygon data. Parks, green spaces, and large-scale buildings in urban areas are recorded as polygon data, all of which are intended for display. It has polygon data for parks, green areas, and golf course areas. It has shapes of large-scale buildings as polygon data. Data can be broadly divided into major buildings (schools, public facilities, commercial facilities, cultural facilities, etc.) and general buildings (condominiums, factories, etc.).
Place name data	Place of residence	The data of the place of residence is extracted from the "Numerical Map 25000 (Place Name/Public Facility)" issued by the Geographical Survey Institute and recorded as point data.
