(In this section please describe in detail the challenge that your project addresses. We recommend your response be a minimum of 100 words and a maximum of 300 words.)

Environmental conservation and gender interaction Problem

Many factors have been contribute much to the decrease in environmental conservation and climatic change action which always cause the environmental crisis that affects much the lives of women and Young people especially in the rural communities around Kagera region. Women and Youth are accounting for the big number within the community and they are mostly vulnerable to environmental and climatic change as their varying gender and age-related roles within households and in the society this make them to be the special group that utilize natural resources differently from each other which in turn means they have different environmental conservation priorities and concerns but because of having less access to resources (knowledge and use of data which may enable them to tackle with the impacts of environmental crisis(destruction).

Through this intervention women and youth will be empowered to have knowledge that will be useful in planning and implementing community level environmental adaptation strategies, because they are not empowered enough to act as environmental activist in their area.

What motivates you to work on this issue?

(what is the reason that triggered, inspired you to work on this issue, we recommend your response be a minimum of 100 words and a maximum of 300 words.)

My motivation is under diplomacy when initiating environmental conservation and climatic change , it is better to gather information from the local community especially women an youth , They should know about their changing context and understanding the potential impacts and their suggestions for adaptation should be applied for long term environmental sustainability for the specific needs.

Through the knowledge and skills imparted to Youth and Women this project will be sustainable even after funding period being exhausted , Youth and women will have already being empowered enough to have knowledge and understanding toward the potential impacts of their suggestions and interaction for improved environmental conservation , also for the YTO from each formed group community we will appoint one facilitator who will be continuously teaching and report for new and old members and their progress. About the equipment purchase they will remain under the ownership of our charity , supervised by Mr. Alphonce Stephano Kahayi our program officer and anyone appointed by the management.
