We use the iD in browser editing.
Methodology
We create points of interest for a destination. The list will typically contain names and address of the point of interest. We will attempt to find that place in OSM and ensure it exists in OSM. If it does not exist, we will draw the boundaries for the place and add tag information. If a node exists, we will draw the boundaries and copy the tag information to the new way, then delete the node.
