Berliner Spielplatzkarte is an interactive web map for exploring playgrounds in Berlin based on OpenStreetMap data. It provides detailed information on playgrounds and their equipment (as far as they are mapped in OSM) and includes additional features such as a simple shadow calculation for playgrounds at different times of the year and day.
The map started in July 2024 and is maintained by user Supaplex030 who used the project to learn web mapping. The project is based on OpenLayers for displaying map data, PostgreSQL for storing and processing OSM data and GeoServer as a Mapserver.
