Deletion / Cleanup proposal
verything in OSM can can consideted as "editing", we should use more specific categories like Category:Guide, Category:Software, Category:Quality Assurance --user:Xxzme
- Huh? That all is something different than editing (the data). Only a small subset of Software is really concerned with editing. And QA helps with editing or, rather, leads to editing (fixing). I do not get it why you want to delete this cat. --Aseerel4c26 (talk) 02:34, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

- Well there multiple meanings in the "Editing". 1st it refers to "Editor software", 2nd it refers to "Mapping process (editing)", 3rd is refers to "wiki editing" (Projet Garrigue, Sandbox for editing). There should be separate categories for each activity. There category for "Editor software" already Category:Editors. Pages should be removed from Category:Editing, it is easier to manage content using categories rather than flat Category. Therefore I asked about delete proposal so maybe there better places to move content from Editing. Xxzme (talk) 13:21, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, okay. Apparently, initially this category was for "Pages to help with editing OpenStreetMap data". So, only 1st and 2nd. However, those meanings already have other, more specific categories.
Sandbox for editing is not about the wiki, by the way. I have made it more clear on that page. In fact.... into which category should this page be moved? Editors - no, it is not about editors. Can you provide list of pages that should be left in Category:Editing? IMO Good practice is clearly misplaced and we should remove it with it's language versions. - Sandbox is for testing programs with the API. There is nothing Community-related. Where is the interaction with the community when you use a sandbox?!

- Well Sandbox for editing is not about API either, i'd rather put it in Category:OSM Community for now. Can you provide list of pages that should be left in Category:Editing?
