April 11, 2022 regular meeting of the OpenStreetMap United States Board of Directors

Call to Order

Minh called the meeting to order at 4:30pm, Eastern Daylight Time, via video conference.

Present:

• Maggie Cawley (Executive Director)
• Adam Franco (Treasurer)
• Diane Fritz (At Large)
• Minh Nguyễn (President)
• Brian Sperlongano (Secretary)
• Daniela Waltersdorfer (Vice President)

Old Business

• The minutes from March’s board meeting were approved by unanimous consent

Special Topic

• The board evaluated the SoTM US conference with regard to sponsorship, birds of a feather, attendance, and scholars. The board felt that the conference was successful.

New Business

• The ED will schedule a meeting with the incoming board members to review OSM US’s strategic plan.
• The board discussed goals for OSM US membership management. The topic was tabled until a future meeting.

Updates

• The Executive Director (ED)
  • The ED reported on a successful State of the Map US conference in Tucson and is working to close out post-conference activities including thank you cards.
  • A virtual “Mapping USA” conference is planned for the fall, with the intention that this will be an annual event in addition to the annual State of the Map US.

• The next board meeting will be held on May 11, 2022
