GNOME Maps is an OpenStreetMap viewer and a simple editor for the GNOME Desktop.

Features

  • Browse OpenStreetMap using libShumate (previously libchamplain) and a style based on OpenStreetMap Americana.
  • Find places with Overpass service: Amenities, Eating & Drinking, Shopping, Transportation, Healthcare, Accommodation, Recreation, Tourism, Sports.[1]
  • Route planning with GraphHopper service.
  • Find your location with GeoClue service.
  • Basic OpenStreetMap editing for adding, editing and deleting POIs: kind[2], name, addr:street, addr:housenumber, addr:postcode, addr:city, website, phone, email, wikipedia, wikidata, opening_hours, population, ele, wheelchair, internet_access, takeaway, religion, toilets, note.[3]
  • Changeset metadata added: created_by=gnome-maps 3.22.2, created_by=gnome-maps 3.33.3
