International Women's Day 2024
We celebrate International Women's Day (IWD) 2024 on 8th March 2024 as well as the Women's Month in the month of March.
Ideas
- Organize event / mapathons / mapping parties with and for women
- Share stories (social media posts, blogs, posters, video materials) of / by women in the mapping space
- Promote IWD 2024 / Women’s month initiatives
- Raise awareness through discussions / conversations, etc
- Use the hashtags: #IWD2024
- Organize Poster Competition
- Any other ideas?
Example Event Flow:
1. One (or two) woman speaker/s to talk about their initiative/s that puts women on the map / encourages women participation on the map
2. Choose a theme to map (e.g. feature/s that are prioritized by women / mapping campaigns for women)
3. Duration: 1 to 3 hours
