If you don't need a key to go out from a building or restricted area, you can mark this with exit=yes. This tagging has sense, if rules for exit are different from rules for entrance. For example, an entrance that cannot be used for exiting can be tagged with exit=no.
Most common value is yes. There are also a few exit=emergency.
The key exit=* is mostly used together with entrance=staircase (83%) or entrance=yes (12%), mostly in Belarus (72%) as of June 2022
