Key:abandoned:shop

abandoned:shop=* marks remain of an abandoned shop and is case of using a lifecycle prefix.

It can be useful for following reasons

• May help people using old data (especially old memories) for mapping and would otherwise remap closed object
• If someone is a completionists and wants to map everything mappable
• Someone may be specifically interested in disappearing shops, for example abandoned:shop=kiosk or collapse of shopping areas due to COVID
• As alternative for tagging nonfunctional shop remains with trolltag such as shop=kiosk + abandoned=yes

Note that it should not be used for places where shop was present and disappeared without trace. If it happened recently, such object may be temporarily mapped with other lifecycle prefix in cases of real danger of incorrect remapping. And deleted once such danger passes.

Example

Abandoned kiosk, with its building still remaining: abandoned:shop=kiosk node within building=kiosk + abandoned=yes area representing building.

It is not necessary or useful to use abandoned:prefix for building. Abandoning of shop means that it is not a shop anymore, but abandoned building is still a building.
