This key is currently used specifically in an Australian mine.

The 'autonomy' key can be applied to:

  • closed way (an area)
  • way (drivable road like highway=service)
  • node (A single point, example for a final destination)

When it's absent from an element, the rules applied to infer the autonomy value are:

  • If the element is partly encompassed by an area marked as Excluded, then infer that excluded.
  • If the element is fully encompassed by the AOZ and no other condition above are met, then infer exclusive.
