The key balloon:height=* describes the approximate altitude in meters of a (tethered) balloon, maximum height or the reached atmosphere (stratosphere). Not to be confused with elevation, which would be the exact height above sea level.
Tagging
Add balloon:height=* to an aeroway:balloon=launchpad, aeroway:balloon=airstrip, tower:type=anchor or building=* where it's launched or tethered.
Units
The default unit is meters. No need to add the unit (just the number).
Examples
balloon:height=150- for a tethered balloon with a 150m tether (balloon:type=tethered)balloon:height=3000- for a leisure balloon which doesn't go above 3000m (balloon:tours=*)balloon:height=stratosphere- if the launched balloons reach the stratosphere (balloon:launch=monitoring)
