Key:guide_type

The tag guide_type=* can be used in addition to information=guidepost to depict what type of guidepost it is.

tag	description	example
guide_type=destination	This type is supposed to show the directions to one ore more destination. See also: direction_*=*, e.g. direction_north=* Additional tags for example: location=pole
guide_type=intermediary	For guidepost with either a trail mark or an arrow (without text or distances) Additional tags for example: guidepost=hiking location=pole See also: information=route_marker
guide_type=numbered	In a node network a third type exists and/or may be combined with destination guide posts - the posts are numbered with a unique id and point to other uniquely numbered posts in the same network. The idea is to drive by numbers, i.e. the trip is planned beforehand by jotting down a list of numbers. Consecutively, each numbered guidepost is visited, essentially traveling from the place with the first numbered guidepost to the last.
