Number of hoops on a basketball court. Allows to distinguish 1-hoop pitches from ones allowing a normal game. Present in iD since March 2018[1].
- hoops=2 - standard basketball court
- hoops=1 - practice area or there was space for just a tiny pitch with a single hoop (see image below)
- hoops=4 (or more) - likely to indicate multiple pitches mapped as one (mapping each pitch separately is preferable), but may also happen with practice courts or in other rare cases not actually set up for a game[1]
sport=basketball has some additional proposed handling of complex situations like retractable hoops.
