Jump to navigation Jump to search

Subkeys of the form name:*-fonipa indicate the pronunciation of the common name of a feature, transcribed in the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), either using a broad transcription or a narrow transcription. For example, name:en-fonipa=* is a pronunciation guide for name:en=*, which is in English. This syntax is less common than name:pronunciation=* but conforms to the IETF's BCP 47 standard.
