The key railway:sop=* specifies the variant of the SOP (Polish: System Ograniczenia Prędkości, “speed limitation system”) automatic train protection system installed on a railway track.

SOP continuously transmits permitted-speed information from trackside equipment to the train. The onboard equipment supervises the train speed and initiates braking if the permitted speed is exceeded.
