The key railway:ssc=* is used on railways. It is a type of Italian railway signalling (see the Italian Wikipedia page). Warning, the English Wikipedia page is not completely correct as of November 2023

Sistema di Supporto alla Condotta (SSC) is based on the use of transponders located on the roof's corners of the locomotives/DMU/Driving coach and, for the ground side, on poles or near the signal's support structures. Can be used only on non-electrified railways and can be paired with SCMT. The system, born as a cheap and simple alternative to SCMT, is being phased out and being replaced with SCMT or ETCS. As of November 2023, it is expected to retire by the end of 2036.
